For Artists

2025 Open Studio Event

As long as you live in or maintain a studio or an exhibition space in Somerville and create visual art, you are welcome to become a participating member of SOS. Our next event will be on May 3 & 4, 2025 (always the first weekend in May). Registration for SOS 2025 is now closed.

The SOS 2025 Artwear fashion show will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Crystal Ballroom in Davis Square. If you’d like to participate, please fill out this form.

SOS produces several group shows every spring, including the non-juried SOS First Look Show at the Somerville Museum, and the one-night-only Artwear fashion show.

Follow our calendar for future events of interest to SOS artists.

Call for Art: SOS 2025 Locavore Show “Sustenance”

This year we celebrate Sustenance with a small works show at Neighborhood Produce in Ball Square. Work will be seen through the corner window at the intersection of Broadway and Boston Ave. Your interpretation of “sustenance” may be literal or symbolic, representational or abstract, painted, drawn, sculpted, photographic or multi-media. Submissions should not exceed 12” x 12” x 12” since the space is small. Submission deadline: Thursday, April 10, 2025.
