This year’s SOS Kids’ and Teens’ Art Show will be displayed at the Somerville West Branch Library, April 30-May 11. Art drop-off will be April 15-29. Want to create art for the show? Come to the West Branch Library on Tuesday, April 14, from 3:30-5:30 pm.

SOS and the Somerville Arts Council are looking for art on the theme of “Re” for the Inside-Out Gallery, in the windows of the Davis Square CVS. We ask applicants to explore ways the art can thrive, grow, bloom, or attract attention. Deadline for submissions is Friday, April 3, 2026.

Artists are invited to submit work for RE NEW: Recycled Art Show, an exhibition celebrating transformation, sustainability, and creative reinvention. The show will be displayed at The KMW School of Painting, 62A Summer Street. Submission deadline is April 8, 2026.

The fourth annual SOS Locavore Show at Neighborhood Produce in Ball Square will run from April 27-May 10, 2026. The theme of this show is “Resist”. Both two- and three-dimensional works that don’t exceed 12″x12″ will be considered. Artists are also invited to provide a statement about “resist” . Submission deadline is April 8, 2026.

SOS has issued a Call for Art for a juried show called “When You Know Your Neighbor”, to be hung at 50 Prospect Street in Union Square during the summer and early fall of 2025. This exhibit at Narrative Bookshop will showcase the transporting power of written & spoken narratives, translated into visual forms of alternate worlds created by Somerville artists. This show will be open to a variety of works, including large and small 2D artwork, as well as sculpture and hanging works. Submission deadline is Saturday, April 5.
