Artist's Statement

Consuelo J Perez works with her two daugthers to make sculptures and paintings out of recycled or discarded materials found in their neighboorhod. The finished products all depend on what materials they find, making every piece a unique treasure. Consuelo, her two daugthers, and sculptures were invited to the MassRecycle's 16th Annual Recycling Awards Celebration at the National Heritage Museum , Lexington, Mass on November 15, 2011. All her creations are made with inclusion in mind focusing those with different abilities along with those in underserved communities. This is demonstrated by her models and creations.
