Artist's Statement

UPDATE FOR SOS 2023: Unfortunately I won't be able to be open for SOS this year.  I apologize for any inconvenience.  

I enjoy working both abstractly and from observation, often in series.  "Summer Gardens" prints are inspired by the vibrant and energizing colors of local gardens and landscapes and are based on specific plants that catch my eye.  Other themes to which I also return include: work spaces and tools; figure studies; empty swimming pools; landscape real and imaginary; and abstracted thoughts about the body under medical duress.
