Artist's Statement
I have focused on freehand drawings in charcoal and pastels for eighteen years now. More than any other medium, drawing makes the viewer aware of hand of the artist, and ideally it communicates the emotion that directs that hand. My drawings have broken down to something approaching finger painting with pastels.
