Artist's Statement
Karen Molloy lives and works in Somerville, where she has been a resident for 38 years. At SOS, her studio will feature a Covid-inspired installation, cyanotypes (on paper and fabric), and toy camera photos. During the Covid pandemic, she has tracked the vocabulary that crept into daily discourse to describe the ongoing social, racial, and climate upheaval of this time. The result installation (text on cut paper) bears witness to the past three years.
