Artist's Statement

I create digital photographic images of fragments of scenes, working on a border between visual reality and the emotional abstract, exploring pattern, color, form, and texture. Although I work with the iphone, the final pictures are quite large drawing the viewer in.

I often work with brilliant solarizations in color and black and white.

Most recently I have been creating abstract images as a series of transformations based on allowing overlapping images to interfere with eachother in color space. These brightly colored images still retain, barely, some indication of the original photographs.
