Artist's Statement
Architecture persists as a medium that can uniquely recognize the conditions in which it intervenes, while preserving the aesthetic unity of its intervention. Balanced between thinking and making, we eschew myopic protocols and stylistic preferences, in favor of an architecture that is inspired by its distinctive context and narratives. Our methodology leverages a diverse fluency of engagement – at home in digital and analog technique, spanning the spectrum from the detail to the metropolis.
Oppositions tend to produce better critiques than architectures. We pursue design investigation that oscillates between autonomy/engagement, form/ambiance, digitality/craft, and nature/culture at a high frequency. Such oscillation promises to designate a space for action that is committed to exploration, first and foremost.
