Artist's Statement

I am a builder of worlds and a lover of textures. I make work for the people who feel like there is something more out there, waiting to be discovered. 

My work is of my self, the beings of my friends, and the beings I create. These beings move and play and touch and create. My hands play with a range of mediums, offering moments that are dark, whimsical, alive, and otherworldly. I love all three dimensions and believe that every medium should take up space. 

I make photos that challenge reality through blur, double exposure, and warping. I make ceramics that are vessels but also creatures. I make prints when I am anxious and uninspired. I am always knitting.
