Artist's Statement

My work is an attempt to capture the beauty of light and to represent it and the feeling it creates with paint. I find oil allows me to create a sense of realisim and can evoke the fleeting effects of light. Sometimes the mood of a scene will inspire me and I will reinterpet it and bring it to life.
