Artist's Statement

Segan Helle is a ceramic artist who embraces whimsy. She creates mugs, plates, bowls, pitchers, planters, and sculptures featuring the creatures that bring her joy. Segan learned the art of illustration from her mother, a Filipino-American painter from San Diego. Her ceramic works include mugs with detailed scenes from children's literature, a supersized snail that pours wine, planters clambered on by tiny men, and mounted jackalope heads. She is offering a limited selection of her work for sale.
