Artist's Statement

Molly started taking pottery classes at Indigo Fire in Watertown, MA in 2022 and immediately fell in love with the process. Growing up in the Western Mountains of Maine, where "mud" is a season, gave her an appreciation for getting dirty and feeling connected to the natural beauty around her. Now that she spends a lot of her time playing with clay - she feels like she's returned to that childlike joy and creativity through her pottery. Most of her work has colorful, cozy, and sometimes witchy themes with sgraffito being her current favorite design technique.
