Artist's Statement

Xavier is a multimedia artist, originally from Salem, New York and Saratoga springs. Their artmaking Centers around trying to work through what it means to be trans, queer, alienated under capitalism, and irrevocably linked to those around you. Their practice is also heavily influenced by too much time alone in the woods as a kid and a love of YA fantasy books. Questioning what role fantasy and media aesthetics play in U.S. politics and cultural mythology
