Artist's Statement

I began studying brush painting in my early 20s while living in Japan. I have continued to pursue my studies with various teachers over the years. Today, while I am accomplished in both classical landscape and birds and flowers, I prefer to experiment with brush painting materials and techniques to produce expressive non-representational  paintings that fuse East and West
