Artist's Statement

My journey into art began with childhood interests of Japanese folkloric images and iconic depictions of spiritual and mystical beings. These ideas mixed with what I saw on the street, which included graffiti art and early representational visual elements of hip hop culture.

This body of work is an expression of the merging of these ideas and visual concepts.

I have included my visual depiction of the struggles of nature in the wake of the negligence of humankind.

Using bright contrasting colors, and often incorperating silver and UV reflective paints, I try to capture a supernatural suggestion while maintaining simple shapes and designs.

This journey has brought me from ancient past into present day connecting through time into the future.
