Artist's Statement

Reflecting my quest for closeness/ human touch and connectedness, I paint figures in loose sexual narratives/situations: Social dancing (rave dancing); Casual and group sex; Anonymous people in dark places.  Sometimes the subject reveals my feelings of loneliness and exclusion.  Other images explore energy and the playful fun of temporary connections. All of them hinge on curiosity and fascination with social subcultures.

The style is a blend of Pop and Expressionist Art.
