Artist's Statement

Hello! My name is Peter Bass and I paint watercolors of people and places both real and imaginary. My goal is to bring reality and imagination a little closer together, to make each resemble the other a little bit more. I grew up in Boston and have lived in the area most of my life, and my work is inspired by walks around the neighborhood, the books I get from the public library and the pictures I see at the local museums.
