Artist's Statement

Hello! I’m Allison, an artist specializing in oil painting and drawing from life. I’ve always been drawn to art, but recently, I’ve become more dedicated to honing my skills and deepening my understanding of the fundamentals.

I work primarily in the alla prima method, capturing the movement and energy of everyday moments with an impressionistic touch. My work often explores dramatic lighting and natural settings, as I’m fascinated by how light transforms a scene and creates mood. While I continue to explore different subjects and styles, my goal is always to convey a sense of presence and emotion in my work.
