Artist's Statement

My work in clay is both functional and sculptural, exploring the interaction of form, surface and color. my sculptural vessels are an investigation of themes that relate to the human figure and the deconstruction of traditional forms. My functional work is inspired by patterns and designs found in nature that are carved and painted.
