Artist's Statement

Worlds, alive, rhythmic, always in motion, swirling, twirling, fluttering, diving, spinning, erupting, humming, singing, pirouetting, conflicting, smiling, whimsical, chaotic, composed. Colors vibrating to the music of life, plunging, resurfacing, undulating, halting, restarting, resuming.  Life energy, ever present, ancient, current, boundless, buoyant, infinite. 

My work is an ode to life, an ode to joy, an irrepressible, primal, primeval, powerful force of being, a celebration of the choice to live, and to embrace life in the face of adversity, war, and trauma. I believe in Carl Jung’s philosophy, “You are not what happens to you.  You are what you chose to be”. And I choose life and a celebration of the infinite force and joy of life.

Mine is a language of colors, alive, exuberant, ebullient, effervescent, expressive, vibrant.  A language that soares beyond words, that speaks where words fail, words before words, words beyond words, rendering emotions, asking questions, challenging norms. A universal language that transcends artificial boundaries reaching out to humanity at large. A language with no frontiers, available to all, inclusive.
