Artist's Statement

I create in a multitude of media: painting, collage, iconography and sewing, among others. But my work expresses its unity through my interest in animals and plants, topography and spirituality. It achieves its characteristic textures and colors through combinations of material and technique. Its focus dwells upon the intersections of layers of images and meanings, and how they may conceal and reveal one another.
