Artist's Statement

ART: connects us / tells stories / helps us understand ourselves and each other / protests / is a form of play or rage or grief or joy / is curious / asks questions / is in our bones / time travels / ...

After years of making visually precise art, I've turned to playing with colors and shapes and layers and creating images that invite the viewer to make their own interpretation. I try to use my art-time as an opportunity for being more meditative and present.  I enjoy sharing the joy of the creative process with others.
