Artist's Statement

Anna Gruman is a Somerville native multimedia artist who works in many mediums -- from 2D collage, drawing and painting, to performance and video installation.
Her work tends to explore political issues and mythmaking/storytelling through the utilization and investigation of media tropes. Much of her work involves collaboration with other artists to create immersive installations and performances.
