Artist's Statement

I began throwing in June 2020 and quickly found a therapeutic home in pottery. The dynamic nature of the wheel captures my own movement in each piece. In a world that constantly wishes to pigeonhole and label us, I've found a freedom in ceramics to create whatever I'd like- from whimsical video game inspired pieces, to mugs with a solvable maze on the exterior, to neutral toned geometric silhouettes. To me, ceramics is the ultimate outlet for creativity and functional art.
