Artist's Statement

Michael Kersh is a young painter working mostly in oil. His work portrays local landscapes and views from behind the wheel of his car, evoking a not only a sense of familiarity, nostalgia and sonder, but also stress, anger and helplessness of being stuck in traffic. He is an active member of the Brickbottom Artists Association and regular student with Alexandra Rozenman's Art School 99 in Somerville
