Artist's Statement

I paint little things in big ways, using layers of ink, watercolor, and sometimes acrylics to capture the world in a new light and pin it in place. I'm inspired by nature, whether that's wondering what a metallic morel mushroom would look like or whether a tardigrade would look good in a party hat, so I take my inspiration from a wide range of sources from scientific illustrations to Swoon.

When I'm not painting, you can find me cooking, baking, and brewing tea in my kitchen and anyone else's I can get into.
