Artist's Statement
Inspired by a lifelong search for wonder in all its forms, I am a science writer & illustrator by day, an artist by night, and a classical musician during the twilight in between. Music, nature, and storytelling spark the imagery that drives my work.
I find that an attentiveness to the sights & sounds around us, and the feelings within us, can open a window into the fantastic. Through art, I aim to share what I see through this window and to inspire the viewer to step through it themselves. I aspire to create images that connect us to the emotional lives of other beings - both the real and the imagined - and lead us to explore a world different from our own.
