Artist's Statement

My hand-built stoneware pieces are made for daily use. Cups, mugs, rice bowls, tea bowls, pitchers, and little plates for your favorite treats.  I roll and wrap slabs, then use a combination of brushed and incised surface decoration.  From earth to home, mud joins our daily rituals.  Whether eating, drinking, pouring or placing a special object in a little dish, I marvel at its changing form and presence in our lives.
