Metal installations w video
I am a Korean-American artist, residing in Somerville for over a decade now. Graduated from Lesley University as a photography major and earned my Masters in Fine Art at the School of Museum of Fine Arts Boston with concentrations in Video and Installation.
My work reflects the darker end of the spectrum of life; through my videos I aim to show the darkness within all of us: the Shadow of the self, through Jungian theory which tells of how you have to embrace the darker parts of yourself to be whole. My metal sculptures express an immediate discomfort, twisting imaginations of horror into reality, and this discomfort is just another Shadow that I want my audience to embrace.
