Artist's Statement

I'm interested in portraying people whom I love in ways that show them to be the secular saints that they are. Drawing from folk art and inspired by the shapes and colors of stained glass, I have recently created a series of paintings that are meant to highlight the loving kindness in friends, artists, and musicians who have inspired me to be a gentler, more empathic human. Other work includes: book-inspired paintings, political posters.
