Artist's Statement

All the world's a stage. I'm drawn to theater stills and trying to capture the drama between figures – or the drama of a solitary figure or scene. I'm also a sucker for dioramas and models of stage sets. My current focus is creating layered paintings on wood that feel like the curtain has opened on a stage set.
