Artist's Statement

Hello!

I am a collage artist working out of my home studio in Somerville, MA. 

If you love collage, color, and abstract art, please come by and check out my work! I will be showing at the Arts at the Armory building, 191 Highland Ave in Somerville, MA, 02143. There is parking in back, and a free S.O.S. trolley that stops right out front. 

For 2026 I will be showing an eclectic array of my collage artwork: mini-canvases featuring abstract designs, along with vibrant larger framed collages. There will also be original postcards (stamp included!), colorful note cards, notebooks, and other surprises. 

About my practice:
In collage I use colorful palettes and a variety of papers including vintage, found, and hand-painted sheets. Paper offers innumerable options because of its varied colors, textures, and weights. I enjoy exploring those choices and generating new combinations in my artwork; creating with my hands is a satisfying and meditative practice. 

I have studied at the DeCordova Museum School, the CCAE Intensive Studio course and the Massachusetts College of Art. My artwork has been shown during Somerville Open Studios and in over 35 group shows, including a 2020 Emerging Artists juried exhibition at the Cambridge Art Association, and at Boston City Hall in 2022 and 2023.

I was thrilled to have two of my collages included in a show entitled "Speak Up III" at Boston's SOWA gallery district in 2024, and again at Galatea Fine Art's “In the Moment” exhibition in 2025.
