Artist's Statement

Amy Stein is a multi-faceted artist using her interest in plants across a vast array of mediums including fiber, jewelry and botanicals. As a trained herbalist she infuses her knowledge of plants and textiles into botanicals and printed cloth. She makes jewelry, hand painting or dyeing the silk cord before festooning each piece with gems. She has lectured and taught at Mildred's Lane, Haystack, Snow Farm and other wonderful places that support traditional arts.
