Artist's Statement:
I have been collecting the medical waste that comes from managing Type 1 Diabetes for over 20 years.
Grateful for the drugs and equipment that keep me alive, I've created altars to each of them--made out of the thousands of syringes and test strips and other things I've collected over the years.
In the end, it's the story of Type 1 diabetes--what it is and what it takes to stay alive and well.
