I am a Boston artist who studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. I started my career as a printmaker and also experimented with painting, collage, jewelry, metals and glass.
In 2011, I attended the Alexander McQueen show, Savage Beauty, in New York City. This show had a profound effect on my art direction.
After the show, I came back to Boston with an obsession about moving my art into textiles and fashion. I had my collage works fabricated into textile materials that I created clothing from. I went to work at Macys to learn more about retail, paying a great deal of attention to the variety of materials and designs.
In 2014, I created my first fashion looks using Macys plastic garment bags as my material. Since that time I have created looks from both conventional and unconventional materials.
The looks in this show are made from unconventional materials including Macys garment bags and discarded plastics.
This show is a tribute to Alexander McQueen.
