Somerville Open Sudios is a large event with many different artists. Here are some tips to make the weekend go smoother.

Make a Plan

Map out artists you'd like to visit ahead of time. Use the artist index and website to plan your tour. Online Maps are available and SOS map booklets with more artists details are available.

Be Prepared

Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Dress in layers - the weather can be unpredictable. Bring water to drink.

Set Your Own Pace

Consider coming by bike, scooter, rollerblades, or on foot to maximize your time.

Collect Stuff

Consider bringing a backpack or bag to carry promotional artist postcards or transport the great art you purchase.

Avoid Parking Headaches

Parking will be limited. As an alternative, use public transportation like the subway, buses, and SOS trolleys.
