| SOS happens solely through the efforts of volunteer artists. The majority of our support comes from the artists themselves in the form of registration fees and generous donations of time and effort to make SOS a reality. By becoming a Somerville Open Studios sponsor, you’ll say that you support the arts in Somerville and most importantly be making a statement that the arts are important to cultural and economic development in this time of shrinking public-sector support. All funds raised go directly towards expenses such as publicity, printing, and mailing costs. Ad Rates and information Sign up for 2008 map book advertising has closed. Other types of sponsorship may be available. Contact us ads Donations Somerville Open Studios is a not for profit organization. Donations can be now be made online. Community Space The SOS Community Space program allows artists who live in Somerville, but who are reluctant to or can't open their homes to the public, an opportunity to exhibit in public or private spaces with other artists during the weekend of the event. In previous years, Community Spaces have been located in local businesses, churches, lobbies, studio buildings and in other artists' homes.
