Artist's Choice Exhibit
At the Somerville Museum
All Somerville Open Studios 2012 member artists are invited to take part in this group show at the Somerville Museum. The opening reception provides a great opportunity to meet other artists, see each other's work, have some fun and build community. Many SOS visitors plan their weekend destinations by first previewing works displayed at the exhibit. The show can be viewed during regular Museum hours and special extended hours on SOS weekend.
So pick a piece of art that represents your work, and enter it in the show!
Submission Information for 2012
- Each registered artist is eligible to submit one piece of work that has not been exhibited in this show in a prior year.
- 2 dimensional work must be ready to hang.
- Artists are responsible for dropping off the piece at the scheduled hours and picking up during the scheduled times. We do not have storage space and cannot take responsibility for your artwork after the posted art pick-up dates.
- Optionally, you may submit a one-page artist statement or biography to be included in the binder kept at the museum desk.
Sales: Any interested buyers will be referred directly the artist, who is responsible for making all arrangements. The museum does not handle sales in any manner (other than providing access to the museum to facilitate a sale by the artist). 100 percent of proceeds go to the artist.
