My work is usually figurative. The figures inhabit spaces that feel intimate or solitary, tied to time and memory as well as to physical structures. Residual marks and visible brush strokes recall the process of constructing the image. The represented subject is presented as a subjective reality, and becomes a referent to the emotive experiences involved in the discovery of the image.
