Come view new work from my “Wind and Sails” photographs and “Marsh Days” watercolor paintings.
“Marsh Days” is an ongoing series of paintings portraying the changing light, weather and seasons of New England marshes. Marshes are rich with life, protective barriers and fertile habitats that sit between the sea and solid land.
“Wind and Sails” is a series of photographs that explores the abstract qualities of the sails, gear and lines necessary to traditional sailing vessels, and the light as those sails catch the wind.
I am interested in the feeling, the sense of being in a place, the light of the day, the story in an image. I often work with edges, connections, space, and form. I hope the images create a place for the viewer’s eyes and mind to wander.
I live and work in Somerville, MA and am a Signature member of the New England Watercolor Society. I am a registered architect. Over the past years, I have dedicated much of my time and energy to my artwork. You can view more of my work at my webpage.
