Gessica Silverman is a mixed media artist working in Somerville, MA. Gessica’s work examines communication, interaction, connection, and dialogue. Working intuitively, she is currently developing a set of characters based on marks from her own works that form her visual language. With these characters and this language, she portrays conversations, interactions, stories, and other scenes that express her interactions in the world around her.
Gessica's work has been exhibited nationally, awarded by the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and featured in several SMFA view book printed publications, as well as Style Boston and Daily Creativity online publications. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, a Certificate in Multimedia Content for the Web from New York University, and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate and a Studio Diploma, both from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. |
