Welcome
Visit nearly 400 artists in over 100 venues who will open their homes and studios for the 14th Annual Somerville Open Studios Event on Saturday and Sunday, May 5 and 6, 2012 from noon to 6 pm. During this free showcase for the arts, mid-career and emerging artists working across a broad spectrum of fine art styles and craft media will exhibit and sell their work to the public.
Artists
Registration for SOS 2012 is open now until January 31, 2012.LET'S TRY SOMETHING NEW!! Opt-in Friday
Participating Artists who wish to exhibit on Friday evening from 6pm to 9pm will have an additional indication in the map book along with the regular Saturday/Sunday event listing.
During registration you will be prompted with a check-box to sign on for Fridays; you can at any point during registration choose to add it on.
- Opt-In Friday night, May 4th, 6pm - 9pm
- There is no additional charge
- Will have additional listing in the Map Book for participating artists
- Requires interest from at least 10% of SOS 2012 artists
- Community space will not be available for Opt-In Friday
- SOS Trolleys will not be in service during Friday night

Volunteers Needed
SOS is entirely dependent on individuals--artist and non-artist alike--who have chosen to be active in the Somerville arts community by volunteering their time and skills. SOS could not happen without a large collective effort that is largely invisible to many participating artists. Curious about how the event comes about? Want to be involved in planning and improving SOS? Just use the "enter your email address" box above. Even if you are already on our mailing list, you can still use this box to change your mailing preferences to include volunteering. You'll then be notified of monthly planning meetings and other opportunities to get involved.
